Finally officially UFO Alien Disclosure movement start pacing up and latest example is David Latham -Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics statement in which he said : “It could happen almost any time now that we will find another Earth like Planet.We now have the technological capability to identify Earth-like planets around the smallest stars.”

To date, Planet hunters have spotted more than 300 planets beyond our solar system, but the vast majority are hot, Jupiter-sized planets that would dwarf the Earth and are almost certainly lifeless.a

A few month ago, the first rocky planet was found outside solar system, but the surface temperature is far too hot to sustain life. The planet, called CoRoT-7b, is the first planet beyond our solar system with a proven density similar to Earth’s, astronomers say. Most known exoplanets are large gas giants like Jupiter.

The tiny planet was discovered orbiting a star slightly smaller and cooler than our sun, about 500 light-years away. As the planet passed in front of its star, it eclipsed a small portion of the star’s light, causing a dip in brightness.

Astronomers may be on the brink of discovering a second Earth-like planet, a find that would add fresh impetus to the search for extraterrestrial life.

Astronomers from six major centers, including NASA, Harvard and the University of Colorado, agreed at a conference last year that advances in technology suggest scientists are on the verge of being able to detect the presence of small, rocky planets, much like our own, around distant stars for the first time. The planets are considered the most likely habitats for extraterrestrial life.

Finding a rocky planet with an Earth-like density brings us one step closer to discovering another planet similar to our own. A twin-Earth beyond the solar system could provide the best chance of finding life elsewhere in the universe.

The majority of the atoms in our bodies were created in the Big Bang 15 billion years ago. Most of the mass in our bodies are oxygen atoms that were created by generations of stars that preceded the formation of our Sun. We are a subset of the physical universe. And through astronomy this negligible subset is slowly acquiring -however limited- an awareness of the total universe that created it.

The great thing about outer space? It’s absolutely full of fantastic stuff just waiting for us to be able to see it: every time we improve our observations, either the equipment or analysis, something new and brilliant jumps out of the universe saying “Here I am!” Now fans of interplanetary ideas have been rewarded with the very first rocky planet outside the Solar System.

Everything we’ve seen previously has been some Jupiter-like gas giant, a huge ball of not-solid-stuff-like-Earth that’s still interesting but – since we don’t imagine meeting alien clouds very much – not as exciting. But it isn’t the case that space only features balls of gas, it’s just that our technology couldn’t see anything smaller. Until now.

A collaboration between the COROT and HARPS systems has detected a rocky expolanet five hundred light years away, a small stone ball less than twice the diameter and about five times the mass of Earth – giving it the same density as our place. Don’t imagine any aliens just yet though (or if you do, make them pretty heat resistant) – it orbits only 2.5 million kilometers from its star, sixteen times closer than even Mercury gets. The expolanet’s “year” is thus shorter than our day – meaning that even if there is an asbestos-based civilization their economy is utterly devastated by birthdays.

COROT is the COnvection ROtation and planetary Transit satellite, scanning thousands of stars to see the tiny dips in brightness caused by planets. HARPS is the High Accuracy Radial Velocity Planet Searcher, a super-sensitive spectrograph installed on a Chilean telescope to accurately identify how fast a wavelength source moves. Between them, they were able to identify the location of the planet and work out it’s orbital radius and speed, thereby working out the mass and size. And with names like that, they probably combine to form Voltron’s big brother.

It’s awesome stuff for scientists. Yet another example of how we’ll never be bored, how the universe is simply stuffed with things waiting for us to detect them.

I cannot recall the exact year or the date, but I think it was sometime in 1967 or 1968. A word about the technology of the time – there were no personal computers, scanners, digital cameras, fax machines, hand calculators, hard drives, printers, cell phones, CDs, VCRs, video cameras, or microwave ovens. First let me preface this by saying I was at the time a very light sleeper. I had two young children in an old wooden house and I was very worried about fire. My wife and I slept upstairs and the children downstairs, and I could hear a pin drop. When I related this story to others, their first reaction was to try and come up with a rational explanation. Since it happened while I was in bed the first reaction was” you were dreaming.”

I suppose that was possible, but I know the difference between a dream and reality. Although a dream can be as real as it gets, once you wake up you realize that you were dreaming. The bedroom upstairs was a converted attic with double hung windows at either end. Our bed was situated under the south window with the head against the window and the foot towards the north window. The north window was open that night. It had no screen on it. Suddenly I was startled out of my sleep by a flash of light emanating from the north window. I thought it was lightening and was wondering if I should close the window to keep out the rain should it start to rain. Then I noticed that there was something hovering about 3 feet outside the open part of the window. It appeared to be about 12 inches long and about 1/2 inch in height. It had an iridescent glow. It was not moving laterally, and appeared quite stationary. I was fascinated. “What the heck is that ” I thought. I was lying on my back with my head raised slightly by the pillow. It hung outside the window for about 10 seconds when it began to move in through the window. Now my curiosity suddenly changed to concern. It was about 3 feet off the floor and moving slowly toward my feet at a rate of about one-foot per second.

I watched in fascination, not in fear, but motionless as it hovered past my toes. I decided that when it gets a little closer I would make my move and grab it. As it floated over my stomach I made my move, or tried to make my move. When I went to grab it I realized that I was paralyzed. I could not move a muscle. As it moved closer to my I head I could see that it’s shape was round like a fluorescent bulb, there were no distinguishing features – only this eerie glow. At this point I should have been scared to death, but I wasn’t. It stopped moving when it got over my face. It was about one foot above my eyes. Then it started making noise.

Sort of an electronic gibberish that I had never heard before. (in retrospect, it sounded a lot like a computer connecting to the interned through a modem) It hung directly above my eyes for about ten seconds making these weird sounds. Then the sounds stopped. I still could not move a muscle. It hovered motionless above my face for several second then rapidly accelerated toward the open window. As it began to move my muscles came back to life, but I had no chance to catch it because it was out the window within a second. Once out the window it veered up and eastward. By the time I raced to the window it was gone.

Oddly, when I relayed this event to my next door neighbor a couple of days later, he and his wife had a “ball of light” story of their own. They claimed a ball of floating light, some years earlier, had startled them while cleaning up after dinner. It floated through the glass of their closed kitchen window. They said it was about 9 inches in diameter. They were scared and stayed well away from it. It floated very slowly about shoulder high through their kitchen, turned 90 degrees, then moved through their living room and out through a glass storm door. They said it floated slowly across the street and hit a dog that was sitting on the porch of a home across the street. They said it killed the dog.

The Brazilian Government has just declassified a new set of significant previously secret UFO documents, now covering the 80s. We already had disclosures covering the 50s, 60s and 70s, all with very important documents and information. So far over 4,000 pages have been disclosed.

The recent disclosure is particularly powerful because it contains dozens of reports of UFOs on May 19, 1986, considered the “Official UFO Night in Brazil”, when 21 spherical objects, estimated 100 meters in diameter – according to military sources – were detected by radars and spotted by civilian pilots, and literally jammed air traffic over the major Brazilian Airports, such as Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Then, several Mirage and F5 jets were scrambled to pursue them.

As a result of that “invasion”, the Air Force minister brigadier Octavio Moreira Lima went public about it the other morning on the national TV network, declaring all facts openly. The pilots who took part in the pursue and their commanders also spoke freely about the pursuits, which occurred over several hours.

We’ve had several other disclosures since 2007, all as a direct result of the campaign UFOs: Freedom Of Information Now, promoted since 2004 by the Brazilian Committee of UFO Researchers. The latest disclosure comprises over 2,200 new pages of formerly secret UFO documents that were given to the Committee and also sent to the Brazilian National Archives.

In late July, hundreds of papers from the Brazilian Air Force’s official System for the Investigation of Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (SIOANI) have demonstrated how the nation’s military authorities dealt with the UFO Phenomena in the 60s and 70s.

Considering that SIOANI wasn’t a top secret agency and that even civilian researchers took part in its procedures, the structure and functionality of which proves that Brazil is the first country in the world to officially and publicly admit the reality of the UFO Phenomena, and the first to investigate it openly.

For instance, where have you ever seen color drawings of flying saucers reported by witnesses and investigated by military personnel, such as these ones?

These are only a few links to recently discovered colored drawings of UFOs seen in Brazil and investigated in the 60s and 70s by the Brazilian Air Force’s official System for the Investigation of Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (SIOANI). Much more is about to be disclosed.

The Brazilian UFO Magazine website – www.ufo.com.br – already has thousands of pages for download, such as over 1,200 pages of documents, 200 photos of SIOANI’s activities and Operation Saucer, carried out in the Amazonian region in 1977. Along with documents received by the Committee from other military sources.
